Sweet Pea came from the auction. We outbid the meat buyer for this incredibly sick mare. She was severely malnourished and had swelling under her belly, legs. and chest. After examination, we discovered she had severe pneumonia. Following 30 days of intense antibiotics and pain medications, this beautiful horse recovered. To witness her laying down for the first time, pain free, we knew she would have a lot to offer those who visit the ranch to fill their souls.

Liberty came to us when she was 12 years old weighing only 550 pounds. A horse of Liberty's age and size should weigh between 1000 - 2000 pounds. She arrived timid and cautious of humans, and it took awhile for her to adapt to her environment. With good nutrition and lots of available hay, she transformed quickly. Liberty has gained weight and her trust with humans has been reignited. Liberty has recently been adopted to a kind, loving horse lover!
